This two-session course is designed for financially stable adults who want to go beyond the basics of investing. Learn practical strategies to optimize your retirement plan and build confidence in managing income and taxes during retirement. Session one focuses on optimizing your 401(k). Explore advanced ways to maximize contributions, understand employer matches, evaluate fees, and align investment choices with long-term goals. We’ll also cover vesting schedules, catch-up contributions, and common mistakes that can erode your savings. Session two shifts to investing in retirement. Learn how to make your money work for you after you’ve left the workforce. Topics include investment strategies for the distribution phase, balancing growth with stability, and managing risk. You'll also explore Social Security timing, tax-efficient withdrawal strategies, Roth conversions, and how to integrate these into a sustainable retirement income plan. Your instructor is a Certified Financial Planner and founder of Harvest Horizon Wealth Strategies, a firm that helps individuals and families navigate retirement, tax, and estate planning with clarity and confidence.
